TIM KELLY
A newcomer to producing techno, Emmy winning film and television composer Tim Kelly has produced electronic music since the late 1970s when he saved up enough playing gigs to purchase a multi track
tape deck, a Mini Moog and a 4 voice Oberheim modular synth.
After earning a university degree in composition during the 1980s and playing funk, rock, reggae, fusion
jazz and bebop with various bands as a keyboardist, Tim always kept an eye out for new musical avenues
to explore while pursuing his career as a scoring composer. In the mid-1990s, during his tenure composing, conducting and orchestrating in L.A. for various Warner Bros. animated series, he rediscovered electronic
music as its popularity exploded across the international scene. Over the next decade he fell madly in love.
Tim finally gave in to the urge to produce straight up techno in the late 2000s and his lifelong experience
with so many different musical styles helped to quickly define a unique sound. Recently, heʼs gained the
support of such artists as Drumcell,, Rene Walther, Spark Taberner, Niereich and GO!DIVA. With his first
release on Inceptor Records out now, and with upcoming releases on Gynoid Audio, Nutation and Silent
Steps Records, Tim shows no signs of slowing down.
